One day/ event will do for me
Hoping for fine weather which at the moment is the forecast
Might mean can keep / use the ponchos another time, another place
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

Made my annual visit to the Whit Friday marches and brass band contests in Saddleworth last Friday. Parked the car and walked into Uppermill to watch the processions. Hadn't walked far when it started to rain lightly. On went my trusty Jeantex see-through plastic mac, buttoned up to the neck and the hood over my head. Enjoyed a very pleasant hour or so in my mac feeling very good indeed. During the morning event I also spotted 3 long see-through plastic macs (all natural, not glass-clear, just to my liking) and then 2 ladies wearing semi-see-though plastic ponchos. Also saw loads and loads of those ghastly useless polythene ponchos which I don't find at all attractive. In the evening we went to the brass band contest in Dobcross and, just after getting there, it started to rain so I spent another very pleasant hour and a half in my mac. All in all, a brilliant day.

It may be June and sometimes sunny but no excuse not to wear a mackintosh in case of a sudden shower.
