It gets ingrained into us, and we learn to enjoy it.

I find it fascinating how under this roof of rainwear central there is such a wide range of fetishism. Truly wonderful!

I also find it fascinating that there are such a wide range of different likes and "extras" just in rainwear fetishism alone, but it is great to to know I am able to find that there are others who share similar tastes. Before discovering this forum I had no chance to get in touch with others like me.

I have just managed to purchase a 1960's yellow oilskin cape. I have wanted one for ages. I think it is great reminds me of the one I had in the 60's.

As a child, I had orange and yellow raincoats made of that rubbery PVC with silver-colored snap buttons. That's how my interest in raincoats and PVC/rubber clothing started. A similar coat can be seen in this photo:

Through Vinted, I was able to buy a similar yellow PVC raincoat, and it's wonderful to have my childhood raincoat back with that lovely smooth material. This one is from the dutch company Anuy. I wouldn't even rule out the possibility that the coat in the photo is the same as the one I bought via Vinted. In the meantime, I have purchased a second one, although it's in somewhat worse condition, but they are still great raincoats. I am still looking for matching rainpants from the same brand in the same material.
