I think all manufacturers will have different style hoods. But the hoods I guess would be unisex. The length of the sleeves of a ladies mack are too short for my liking. The buttons are the other tale tale feature.

I remember as a kid wearing my sisters peter storm cag, with waterproof trousers. Of course, I would put my mums nylon mack on top. The noises were exquisite.

Mine are mainly navy blue nylon, with buttons. No poppers, no zips. I do wear mine in public, but not locally, where I might be recognised. I go shopping in distant towns and of course, woodland walks.
