My first plastics were XL Boots 'triplets' (they came in a pack of 3) nearly 60 years ago, as a teenager, I just about fitted in them but they were very tight on the legs. Lovely and smooth though and a very distinct plastic odour that stayed with me for years.

Agree PVCULIKE, cheap yes and obviously more affordable, but the materials change from order to order and the sizing is very variable and often not as advertised.

I had my first clear blue 'bomber' jacket in the mid to late 70's bought from a womens boutique! and my wife and I had clear ones with a tie belt and grey trim from a high street store in the late 70's. You can still order from pvc-u-like.

It's great to see your stories reappearing, I managed to copy a few off the Wayback Machine' but couldn't find all of them and partticularly part 2 updates which may not have ever appeared. Is there anyway of locating more? I had given up hope.
