Re: Plastic pants

I don't know about washing machines but you certainly have to be careful with tumble driers. When I lived above a launderette in East London in the early 70's it was not uncommon for the customers to have to summon the "minder" (who herself often wore a red PVC rainjacket) to "release...

Re: Klepper photoshoot or film set?

Very nice. Can't compete with them for attractiveness but I often wore a blue one, sourced from my old friends at Cocoon, to work in central London back in the day.

Re: Paris Olympics... an opportunity lost?

The Channel Four Formula 1 presenter, Ariana Bravo, came well prepared for the wet at Spa on Friday, wearing a very long, hooded, press stud fastening on the front and flap pockets, fully elasticated sleeve, beige raincoat. Probably not a "mackintosh" in our sense of the word but very attr...

Re: Favourite ever piece of rainwear

Plastic rainhats were very useful for slipping down the front of one's shorts to obtain that lovely feeling of plastic against bare skin.

Re: Proper Plastic Apron

Re: Proper Plastic Apron

I grew up in the 1950's when "proper plastic" was relatively new and ubiquitous. I don't know about health professionals but my mother and many of her female relatives and friends wore plastic aprons for housework. There were many opportunities for a sly "feel" when visiting frie...

Re: How and when did your fetish begin?

Probably early childhood. My parents would take me and my brother to Wales for holidays and always bought us rubber-lined nylon raincoats from Gelert. I hated wearing them and was super embarrassed for the majority of the holidays. I guess that's why I link wearing rainwear with a little humiliatio...
