I noticed that problem with those instagram pics. Instagram seem to chop top and bottom parts of the pics. On my flickr site i have those pics full size.

But i think, that my model has a very nice smile and i do not expect her to smile all the time.

I have to say, that people are not very active here as someone wrote. So i am not expecting this journey of mine last long, because at this point i do not expect my videos to sell so much, that i can cover quite expensive model and filming location costs. I am suprised if i get my 600 euro investment back. I have three films coming up and the first will be about 23 minutes and others are shorter. Others are with a shiny yellow hooded rainjacket and and blue/white -striped swedish modern raincoat. Stromberg or something like that if i remember correctly.

Sorry I'm a little confused I thought you said your models were friends who wore masks because they didn't want be exposed - you also said something along the lines of you preferred friends as they just wanted to be involved in something different rather than paid models who were only in it for the money

Now you seem to be saying they are 'quite expensive models'

For a number of reasons I'd never ask friends to model for a paid website but if I was booking and paying for a model my expectations would be made clear before the shoot and I'd never book a model who wasn't willing to show her face

I'm not trying to be difficult I just want to understand where your site is heading

I have to say you were overly optimistic to expect your initial investment in your very first production would come right back to you. Normally it can take months, if not years, to build a good following, reach high in online searches, get a fanbase, learn what sells and what not, find ways to keep costs low, create an unique style of photos and videos, build contacts with other content creators, etc. Investing 600 euros and thinking you can sell for about 600 euros (at least) on only that does not sound very realistic.

From my experience of setting up some small online businesses I would say it is very important to keep costs low at the start. Everyone wants to have quality products/content right from the start requiring expensive hardware, software, the best locations, and beautifully designed sites offering 5 payment methods at least. I think it is more important to start small and see what works while keeping costs as low as possible. For example you could contact some content creators in your country who produce similar content already and offer to take pictures and videos of them, for free, which they can sell in exchange for referring to you as the creator. Maybe it will give you the extra exposure and a new follower or 2.

Next you need to keep in mind that the "rainwear crowd" is quite a difficult crowd. There is so much on offer for free already that something has to be really special for one to want to pull their creditcard out for it. You mention you got a video with a raincoat of which you don't even know the brand of, why would you think someone would specifically look for a video of that brand if even you, the creator, doesn't know the brand? Some people are into specific brands, fabrics, settings (mud), etc, so better start producing with those groups in mind if you want to make a return. It seems vintage rukka raincoats are popular, as well as cagoules, Stutterheim coats, Hunter boots and Nokian boots. Or produce what you want but be very patient to gain enough traction that someone with the same preferences finds you and is willing to give you some money.

Finally keep in mind that we are in the middle of a pandemic. You cannot expect many people to start spending money on online porn from a brand new website. I see traffic down considerable on most websites compared to December, even this forum and other rainwear sites are much less busy. The good news is that your products dont spoil, so it should not matter if you sell a clip now or a year from now.

Thanks for comments. I will start selling my material and we will see how it goes.

I have payed my model friend like i have seen appropriate. And i see my first model as my friend, because she was so very nice and the time we had together was very special to both of us. But still a model is a model, who tries to live with modeling and i respect that. There are no free models in Finland for this kind of work. But like i mentioned, i will sell my material of three vids and i will see what happends. If nothing, no harm done. Still one of my dreams fulfilled.
