One question was, if I get aroused when I see an attarctive lady wearing a shiny PVC mac in public - yes I do !
I am male, straight, and happily married, and my wife accepts my passion for pvc raincoats,
at least I wear my pvc macs when it's raining, on a dog walk.

tipping it down here in Bristol this morning so i wore my red puffa jacket to up the road and for a short trip in the car later and a walk around as well.

Your experience is normal. My wife has taught me that I actually have two forms of attachment to PVC/plastic. The first, and most notable, is the almost instant sexual trigger. This is what brought most of us into this area, usually from an early childhood time. My wife had never used pvc/plastic within a sexual context until she met me. She told me, that because I told her ahead of time, that she thought that was very polite and considerate of her. She enjoyed it from day one.
But, without me realizing it, she saw another aspect. And that is, the wearing of the PVC/plastic for a period of time, instead of the sexual feeling it gives us, gives one of simple contentment, much like the "binky" blanket of a child. When she told me this a few years ago, I realized she was right. I mentioned on this forum how my job requires me to drive a couple times a week for 3 hours to fix a 30 minute problem. Once it is spring, and it is the least bit threatening weather, I wear a clear raincoat. I did notice that while driving, it does indeed give me a very comfortable and all is well with the world feeling, and there is no sexual excitement. I am very comfortable wearing that clear jacket, so much so that I will wear it into restaurants, where 3/4's of the time, I get very positive feedback from females my age. At their initiation.
A couple of years ago, my wife asked me to have both of us wear a plastic dress (Fetwares Lil girl) right after we came home from work. So I did. I felt the sexual urge for a few minutes, but then we went around doing the normal stuff, including watching TV on the sofa together, with me holding her. When we went to bed, she asked to just be held, no sex. So I did, We slept that night in the plastic (That Ultraflex stuff doesn't sweat very much!). When I woke up, she was dressed for work. In thinking this over, I thought maybe she was trying to desensitize me to the plastic. She told me, no, just the opposite. It was a very long and very good feeling night, to have my partner in this with me. So maybe every two months or so we do this.
I will admit, from time to time, she will then sexually tease me by wearing a clear plastic raincoat home from an event, and slowly taking off her clothes underneath the raincoat. Makes the drive home very interesting. But that leads to fun.
Anyway, in my opinion, our desire comes in two forms, the sexual and the contentment, both should be acknowledged and enjoyed.

Like many on here I get aroused by slipping on a mac but to make it more interesting I vary what I wear
Perhaps on one occasion a nice nylon mac(Ladies of course)...hooded in preference
Need a change.....what about a nice knee length hooded PVC mac...
A nice ankle length plastic mac
And even a ladies polyester cotton Trenchcoat does it for me
It is the excitement at looking at the different macs,,,then putting it on...a time to sit back and enjoy ...and afterwards not wanting to take it off

I've found that 'layering up' does have the effect of rejuvenating my interests in PVC alot.
One of my 'favorite' combination's I'd say personally, would have to be wearing one of my short shiny yellow coat's worn underneath a larger (baggy) 3/4 length hooded clear plastic mac and a tight...ish fitting pair of those rubbery vinyl trousers or over leggings that are very clingy when they get warm.
It just looks and feels amazing to me, such a deep almost glass like shine and the sounds as the layers stick together and pull is just amazing when worn about and just adds to all the excitement as far as I'm concerned!
