Hunter Boots, do they wear quickty?

Post by Peter Haaswijk »

Hello,
About 2 years ago I have bought a pair of Hunter boots . They fit excellent. I dont know how much I walked with them ,not so much, perhaps 25 Km 's a year. But now they are worn out at the heels, the hollow space is seen and samples little stones.
It s a pity , they are so nice. :(
Greetings,Peter

I would imagine as with all footwear they wear according to how you walk, and how much, if you are heavy on your heels then they will wear first

Adding to what Merv said, obviously they are designed to be worn on grass, mud and soft surfaces. All these people wearing them round town on pavements and concrete are going to find they will wear quicker. i have a pair that i walk the dog in and they are still going strong after 9 years.

Hello,
Yes ,that's the problem. :(
I walk mostly on hard pavement , there are no paths with sand , mud or grass here in my neighboorhood. You could say we have no real ''nature'', here in the Western part of the Netherlands .
Some years ago I had ''cheap'' rubber boots. I can remember that the heels did not wear off quickly ,because they were not made of rubber , but something else, some synthethic material. But the rubber on the heels loosened from the rest of the boot, so I bought the ''Hunters" .
Can someone tell me which mark I should buy ?
Greetings ,Peter
