So Little time!!!

Post by agent66 »

Anyone else have trouble finding time to be in the rain???? I might average a couple of times a month, is this normal?? I work in the heating and air conditioning and electrical trade, so often I'm in the rain at work and I get zero joy from that because my tools get soaked and I need to think about other things. Yesterday had the day off, looked like rain but didn't all day, evening rolled around as soon as we were with other people the most beautiful torrential downpour erupted for about 45 minutes while we drank on their covered patio. Sucks!! my girlfriend knew I was a little disappointed. This weekend here in Canada looks wet so hopefully I can get in an outing!!!

Part of life unfortunately!
I think we all have that problem.
Busy when it rains .
Not busy when it is sunny!

Rain? What's that? I'm resorted to sleeping in my raincoat.

I always try to make time for wet weather play but sometimes the realities of life make it impossible.

What I really hate is when I have the time but the weather doesn't cooperate, and just kind of "teases" me...when the forecast says thunderstorms all day, then I get home from work & the skies are still clear, then I make dinner & we finish eating & clear the dishes & take the dog out & the next thing you know it's 8:00 & still not a hint of rain in the air, so we sit around & eat dessert & watch TV & take the dog out one last time & before you know it it's bedtime & still nothing, then finally as we drift off to sleep...BOOM! Thunder, lightning, torrential rain, the whole nine yards, and we think "Where were you even an hour ago?"

Usually its the other way around....... forever stuck in work when the weathers gloriously sunny, n always raining 'cats n dogs' when I'm on my week(s) off..... sods law lol!

I really wish I could wear my rainwear out n about more often. Sadly owing to the nature of what we've got collected between us (my partner and I), when I, or very rarely, we do so it's usually somewhere quiet at night when there's not too many folks out n about. Still its a great feeling when the chance arises.
The sounds of creaking pvc and the soft patter of rain falling on it, its an amazing experirence for me- so liberating for the soul too!

It is always quite frustrating being at work being able to see and hear a rainstorm going on outside wishing you had the afternoon off to go out in it.

Some other frustrating moments I had last month were quite similar. At midday in the office a particularly heavy thunderstorm started outside, which drew some of the office girls to the window to watch just before they were due to go out for lunch.

After they waited for five minutes with no sign of it letting up three of them had to run to their car with one tiny umbrella to protect them. Needless to say they were drenched within minutes and their blouses had all stuck to them showing their curvy figures off ! It would have been better to watch them in proper raingear though.

The other moment was when I had the day off on the weekend, a heavy rainstorm starts up and by the time I have got suitably dressed and driven to the beach to enjoy it, the rain had dissipated to a useless drizzle !

How many times does that happen!

as is often the case it has been incredibly dry here in the East of England, not particularly warm but certainly not wet, had a ten minute shower earlier this evening but by the time I went out had stopped really so that was that. On the plus side though at least the grass isnt growing too much and needs cutting less often
