lol, there's putting a copyright label on your photos and then there's rendering them unveiwable, you could have put that copyright horizontally over her legs Ray and made your point and kept the photo interesting, but putting it right over the main subject of the pic from top to bottom, well, I don't want to look at it, what a waste!

The trouble is, Davey, if the copyright notice were placed horizontally, as you suggest, what would stop anyone simply cropping it off and pirating the pic in the same old way?
It's a sad fact, but nothing is ever safe on the internet.

agreed Domino, but if you have to go to the extreme Ray has above, then surely it's time to have all your "work" behind a pay wall, images as above are just pointless, personally, I couldn't care less about copyright, if anyone wants to keep a picture off my flickr stream they're more than welcome to help themselves, all this 'thats mine and I want money for it' makes me sick to the pit of my stomach, if you want to make money from what you do start a subscription site, if you're that bothered about copyright, don't put them on boards like this expecting free advertising for your own site and them moan when the odd one shows up somewhere else. Fuck capitalism, and fuck capitalists.

I suspect Ray is chuckling away at what he has done to this picture and is making a point with regard to recent newbies, mandysomethingorother and raincoatboy (boy? wonder how old he is to think he is still a boy, haha) who appear with a bang linking to generic pictures from the web whie making it seem they are putting up new pictures. Clearly they tried to take us for fools and Ray I would guess is making his point in reply by posting a pic with copyright plastered all over it. I suspect some are missing the point of why its being done. Or am I mistaken here.

Spot on Merv, it did amuse me (however childish that may seem) I have no problem with the new people but felt let down when the promise of 'new' meant the same old thing, again I accept they may be new to some people - what I dont understand is the need to try and make believe these images are something they produced, while I may be totally wrong Im not convinced mandy's partner is the person in the images, I doubt if all the images are even the same person

I accept we have different views on copyright and probably always will, I also accept that anything I post on a website or in a forum like this will be taken and used elsewhere, its the way the internet works and there's no effective way of stopping it - and yes I used the images to promote my website - free advertising

If I choose to put an image in the public domain then I expect it to be found around the net, a credit would be nice but not often given - club doctissimo often takes my images and uses them on his site (i notice he's even uploaded some i put on ebay last night, must be some sort of record) but always credits the website

What burns my pee is the people who take out membership with the sole intention of taking images and publishing them without permission - surely as I own the images I have the right to say where they are shown??

What I'd like people to accept is that the images cost money to produce, I cant afford to fund the whole cost of producing the images and so try to recoup some of the money by selling the images to others via the website

I know the images arent the most professionally produced images that others produce thats because Im an amateur with limited skils, they are the best I can produce with the talent I have available but the cheapest membership allows access to the complete site at the lowest cost that CC Bill will allow me to charge - if Im a Capitalist its something else Im very poor at

The reason the site doesnt update is I simply cant afford to, the reason Im selling my collection is Im trying to keep a roof over my head, obviously Im not trying to blame this on the theft of some images, losing my job played a much larger part in all this, this isnt a sob story its just fact, so being called a Capitalist really does stick in my throat

Oh fantastic Ray.

As a teenager back in the sixties I remember seeing a young woman wearing a man's 'pacamac' and ever since then I find the sight very exciting!
