Getting caught!!

Post by Peterstrom »

Like I was today :-) wearing this.

(Thought there was a thread on this but couldn't find it)

A grey miserable day so I mowed the front lawn and was doing the back when it started to mizzle / rain. Popped inside and put on Mrs PS's Primark Mac and carried on - she wasn't due home for an hour or so. About 5 minutes later a cheery hello from behind me - she was early  . Didn't bat an eye-lid a quick embrace and off inside !!

Bit of background - she has 2 Primark Macs and on occasion (raining with washing on line - unloading shopping from car in rain) she has been known to throw one at me and instruct me in my duties. The first time I protested that “I was not wearing that” to which she replied "put it on It's just a coat". And ever since I have been doing just that!!!

As for me - carried on finishing the lawn and wore the coat for another 30 minutes. She went out in her other Primark Mac and we had a delicious 'squeaky kiss and embrace' before she went. :D

I'm sure she knows and if the timing / conversation is right I'm sure I'll 'confess" one of these days.

Nice...I especially like the use of reverse psychology. She might have suspected something if you appeared too eager.

Hi

I love the sound two raincoats make when they squeak together. Jane always gets lots of hugs when we are both wearing rainwear.

Then again she gets lots of hugs anyway!!

Just another question. Is the delicious lady in the lighter blue primark mac your wife?

LOL - no Pete - just an ebay find!! I have noticed that items (plastic macs!) tend to sell for a higher price when the picture is of the item modelled and not just hung ?!?

Anyway - when you going to be your old street sightings back on Flickr?

Cheers PS

Off to do more gardening now - still mizzling - the PS Cag this time :P

I have to say that one of my favorite kisses from my (Now ex) wife, was a squeaky, both of us in vinyl raincoats hood to hood butt holding/arms around my neck embrace... Thanks for jogging that memory, Peterstrom!

On a similar continuation......

raining cats and dogs tonight, and I'm getting ready to cycle to the pool for an evening swim. Mrs PS says 'suppose you want to borrow my blue Primark Mac!' "No I'm feeling naughty" I replied, "you decide your Red one or Floral one...."

So I went out to the pool and back in waterproof trousers and shiny red mac.

No one said anything, I cycled with the hood up and my cycle helmet over the top and was well protected from the driving rain - what fun. As I was unlocking my bike a lady came up and unlocked hers. "Wish I had your coat" she said - her cagoule was soaked wet through..... Cracking experience :D I wear mine / hers / our / Primark Macs quite often and thus far no one has said anything derogatory!

Just love that red Primark coat
I have a navy blue one which I keep in the back of the car for that needy moment but don't get to wear it very often at all. Mine is one of the earlier ones without the flaps over the pockets - perhaps I should have waited for the next season's design instead of buying straight away! What would have been good would have been for the design to also include a drawstring or other fastening for the hood.
I would like to have one of the bright red ones, too.
Wonder what Primark and Topshop will be doing for 2012?
