Welly Weekends

Post by top_cat »

Does anyone here have any welly-habits for the weekend? I've always loved going for long walks down the lanes near my house (near a farm and horse stable), but now that I've got my new Hunters and I'm going to make it a regularity? Had a great time this morning, walked through lots of nice puddles and mud. Got a few looks from dog walkers, but at least they were genuinely happy smiles :)

Since I wear my Wellingtons every day, weekends are no great deal, except I'll go city shopping in them as well. They warm up nicely in the big shops too; generally worn with my PVC mackintosh.

Does hacking out in rubber riding boots count?

I hope you all wear waterproof trousers with your wellies...?

@Cagoule: yes, I certainly do ... if the weather is bad enough: I prefer 100% heavy PVC yellow rainpants or bib-pants which I just love wearing too.
