It's autumn Down Under now and the weather is steadily growing colder every month; but my power bills are much lower than they used to be because I simply wear my beautiful one-piece yellow vinyl Plastico rainsuit/overalls over everything: and it really keeps me toasty warm. Providing I'm not doing anything too energetic (such as vacuuming), they actually hardly generate any sweat at all.
Of course if the weather is warm/hot, I just wear them over little else but my plastic panties: they just feel wonderful!!
Do anybody else wear rainwear around the house regularly?
cold weather and power bills, wearing rainwear at home

I do the same, Mason... especially when watching TV... Not only do I wear rainsuits and boots, but I have 4 flannel lined long vinyl raincoats to use as well. My house is old and poorly insulated. Coming on summer here, though.
Re: cold weather and power bills, wearing rainwear at home
In the evening I've taken to wearing a one piece plastic karting suit. I agree you would not want to be doing heavy activity with this on (unless you're into sauna suit/weight loss mode). But what a surprise when my power bill showed that I was 36% under norm for energy usage in my home. WOW - that's a win/win. The plastic suit keeps me comfortable until bedtime. If the night is cold I might change into some plastic pants (jogging bottoms). This allows the heat to be turned down and the waterbed does the rest in terms of warmth and comfort. So now we have a practical rationale for our fetish!
Re: cold weather and power bills, wearing rainwear at home
It's not a cold night so I'm wearing something like 5 layers of plastic while I type this: smooth plastic rainpants, plastic pantties over those, my yellow one piece Plastico rainsuit over these and a plastic hip-length jacket underneath, another pair of matching plastic rainpants and plastic panties over these (the tight elastics help prevent my rainpants from slipping downwards) ... with a lifejacket complete with a tight crotchstrap over everything!!
Bizarre? Yes. Weird? Yes. Kinky? Yes. Lots of fun? YES!!
I'm also nice and warm (if slightly sweaty) too ... all that plastic feels just great
