Yarmouth Oilskins
Yarmouth Oilskins
I recently got my hands on a long black Yarmouth oilskin and matching sou’wester. It’s got quite a nice shine to it and squeaks and creaks loudly when moved around in. The material is smooth but not slippery. I can’t wait to wear it in some downpours during the spring and summer; when I had the coat buttoned fully and sou’wester on I felt quite protected from the elements.

I recently managed to obstain an absolutely gorgeous red Yarmouth double-breasted rainmac not long ago. It's just beautiful to look at and wear but now I need a matching sou'wester for it. lol

Re: Yarmouth Oilskins
Good luck with that as far as I can see they are not produced any more.mason wrote: January 30th, 2021, 9:09 am I recently managed to obstain an absolutely gorgeous red Yarmouth double-breasted rainmac not long ago. Re: Yarmouth Oilskins
I got the house to myself today and used that time to wear the oilskin without any prying eyes from family members. I spent roughly 10-15 minutes rubbing the material together and moving around in it just to listen to it squeak! I am very happy with this loud, squeaky raincoat. Hopefully a yellow one appears sometime on eBay.
