I wanted one of the red TopShop jackets but thought they were overpriced for what they were. I believe the red ones have been sold out for some time now - what a shame, they should have made more. I saw one on ebay a few weeks back for a ridiculous starting price - £99 I think it was.

I have a dark-blue colour Primark jacket from their first season, similar colour to the TopShop blue I guess. How is your TopShop blue one, what's it like? Is the fabric like the Primark ones? The TopShop ones have a draw-cord for the hood which is better than the first Primark ones.

I had a great walk in the rain on Sunday in my Fortress pvc-ish 3/4 length hooded jacket, overtrousers and wellies. It was bucketting down here in the Midlands and the feeling of the rain running down my coat onto my overtrousers was fantastic. I just had to go and find a secluded area in some woodlands!

A very heavy one-piece navy blue pvc fleeced lined storm suit - fully zipped, buttoned and belted up, black rubber boots, black rubber gloves and a navy blue pvc sou'wester. In the hot sunshine too, it didn't rain.

Sunday in South Wales it rained heavily non-stop all day for so long I had chance to wear a few different macs.
The first was my Black heavy PVC ex-Navy mackintosh - I wore this during a beach walk and it rained so hard that rainwater eventually seeped through the stitched seams but not enough to soak me.

The second one I tried was a Yellow long PVC slicker style raincoat from the USA however it flapped about so wildly in the storm force winds that I got drenched up to my waist.

The third and best one was my rubber SBR trenchcoat from Stormclouds and a Souwester to match, no matter how hard the rain came down it did'nt give an inch and although I wore it out for two hours I was bone dry when I got back to the car.
This must have been the first time for months we had any real rain here in Swansea and hopefully it will last through the next two weeks.

No - black pvc trousers, then black rubber trousers,a black pvc shirt, a thick purple rubber jumper and purple rubber cardigan (both knitted out of rubber 'wool' - a hot find on ebay). In all a right kinky rainproof ensemble!

Well, here in Wisconsin we were promised rain all day yesterday with a possibility for thunderstorms. Instead we got some light rain in the morning & nothing all day...until I got home from work & took the dog to the park when it absolutely poured down in buckets for nearly 2 hours. I wore my new long yellow rubber raincoat from Rajkumar with my navy Hunter wellies. This may well be the best raincoat I've ever owned - not a single drop of rain got through. Most of the patrons cleared out of the park at the first sign of serious rain. No funny looks or anything, just a few jealous stares from the soggy & bedraggled folks & a few comments on how at least I had the good sense to come prepared for the rain; and a couple of ladies struggling to stay dry under small folding umbrellas (though they did at least have cute wellies on) inquired on where I got the raincoat, so I told them about Rajkumar & directed them to Lorraine Element's site where they could find something a bit more feminine for their tastes - we'll see if they follow through on that.

It's been raining all morning here in south west UK, so I managed to get out of the office for an hour to indulge in some wonderful rainwear fun!
Went to some moorland close to where I work where I know there are loads of good puddles for splashing.
Suited up in dunlop chest waders, long rubber gloves and a guy cotten smock, I set out for a nice walk.
I found one place where there was a big puddle that was draining down across a steep grassy verge, so I sat down in the flow of water at the top and pushed myself off. I slid down the hill pretty much like in the snow, but better! That's why I love to wear the right gear - you never know what fun you might be able to have.
I messed around there for ages just appreciating the rain and the protection of my waterproofs.
Now I'm back in the office - clean and dry - and no-one know what I've been up to - how wonderful!
