I love to get suited up to wash my car. I have a big 4 off-roader, so the appropriate protection is essential!
On cold, wet, dark winter mornings I am a bit more adventurous with what I wear - some scenarios include:
Back safety chest waders, orange industrial fishing jacket and long black rubber gloves (it was quiet this time so I took a deep breath and went into the shop to get some change all suited up. The nice assistant asked if I'd be ok in the wind and rain and I replied that I was dressed for it).
The other day I went to a public car wash and wore my green chest waders, long black rubber gloves and Guy Cotten smock.
I usually wear wellies, a flexothane one-piece suit and rubber gloves.
It is one of my favourite things to do in rainwear. I love to lean over the car to reach some spots and feel the smooth rubber and PVC against the wet / soapy car. I even tend to turn the soapy brush on myself sometimes. What a feeling! But I must look a bit weird if people watch.
Heavy Duty Rainwear, Wellies and Waders for everything rainwear...

All of my rainwear, which I use is from Finnish April Rain, except Southwest, who is from the Swedish Grundéns. I like them because they are soft and comfortable. :D :D

I get so disappointed sometimes the rain forecasts. I look at the Danish DMI, SMHI, Swedish and Norwegian YR. Three or four days ahead, they say rain forecast that there will be rain. The next day, so the rain is gone or move forward and then there will be no rain at all. I do not believe rain if I do not see it on the rain radar.

Last night, I saw the rain radar, that was going on and I woke up early this morning and I went into and checked the radar and saw that it was raining a few hours. I put on my full rain gear. Rubber boots, rain bib pants that I switched on the shoulders, rain jacket, sou'wester and rain gloves, all in dark blue color. It rained pretty well for four to six millimeters per hour, during my walk, which took slightly over an hour

Then I thought that the rain would stop, but it did not, so I drove and acted earlier than normal. I put on my rubber boots, long raincoat and southwest. I went into the two food shops and other small shop and I had all the time raincoat at me and flicked and south-wester on my head and tied under my chin.

I already saw this morning that there would be short but heavy rain again tonight and when I look at the rain radar, it's thunder and again on a number of hours. I hope that thunder do not stop, so I again today, can go out in the rain again.

I have now, several times had on my head southwest and bands tied under my chin, when I've been in shops.
Dare you all do it too. :D :D :D
