Very nice! Although, I wish there was no backing music so that I could hear the rustle of the glass clear-type PVC.

Elements rainwear is a mainstream website trying to get more PVC out there on the backs of ordinary women. If the video was just the sound of creaking plastic mainstream customers would think WTF! :D

So PVC-U-LIKE for us pervs who think that PVC is the best thing since sliced bread and Elements is for "normal" women who need a PVC waterproof raincoat that looks good ;)

Sadly it seems there is no need for fashionable men's long raincoats. And no, the only dedicated men's item RA05 isn't fashionable, it's boring. No comparison e.g. to a Stutterheim Stockholm long in shiny opal fabric even these coats are much more expensive!

You may have a point but to compare PVC-U-LIKE to Stutterheim is like chalk and cheese. I believe all of Stutterheim raincoats are fabric lined / coated material, they are very thick and the outer material is PU not PVC. Most PVC-U-LIKE customers like the old fashioned PVC raincoats that are pure PVC, that is what we specialise in, also our customers like the feel of soft PVC against their skin which is something a Stutteneim would not give you. I know that PVC fetish is a very broad spectrum some people like shiny fabrics, some like lined, some like thick etc etc, PVC-U-LIKE's speciality is soft unlined PVC, we have no desire to enter into the lined PVC/PU market which is more mainstream. Getting back to your point the RA05 is a "traditional" men's raincoat which was the mainstay in the 50's and 60's and our customers seem quite happy with this, its not about making a fashion statement its about nostalgia and the sensuality of the material. Once again thanks for the feedback but since I'm close to retirement I'm focused on keeping the business live another couple of years before calling it a day.

The Stutterheim coating should be pvc, not pu (as they describe it and the label inside the garment indicates)... afaik there are many varieties of possible pvc fabrics (this shouldn't be a scientifical statement; for me their fabric esp. the opal series is great and the best of all current manufacturers now). Only their "rubberized" statement is nonsense of course as it has nothing to do with natural rubber or SBR.

My complaints are not about offering the RA05 style for nostalgic men, it's about offering only that single style for men whilst there is a variety of different styles for women. I don't hesitate to tell manufacturers if they "forget" to offer some proper men's styles beside their ladies' range. We live in the 21st century now and I think it is time us men can "risk" more fashion and more "colour" than in the conservative past.

Another example: If we look at the Hunter Original Tall wellie the men's sizes (mine is UK 10) are offered only in matte black, navy and dark olive now. About 20 years ago it was different... even red, yellow or sky blue ones had been offered up to EU 47 (UK12?). The ladies boots have a broad variety of colours, some extraordinary "festival" styles, there are glossy styles... Why not offering a shiny black wellie for men? Or a "festival" one with a rivet strap or something like that?

Very nice. The Raincoat is really shiny, a very good pvc quality and the model is exttremly beautiful. Perfect combination.

I also like the pure pvc, especially the soft super-ultra-shiny unlined types (High Brightness Vinyl) and especially the transparent ones.

The higher glossy/bright/shiny the better it is.

The one shown above is relative near to the maximum, there are pvc films with even more brightness out there (not yet seen raincoats made out of this but other pvc outfits), but the most have lesser brightness, so its very superb.

The colour and the transparency is also nice.
PVC is sexy.

There is one other PVC raincoat in Elements range that is quite acceptable for men. That is the double breasted mac RA82, which is unisex and can be buttoned either to the left or to the right. I have one which fits well and is quite fashionable, and very long which appeals to me. I wear it frequently with never an adverse comment. It only comes in a couple of shades, mine is black, quite shiny and very soft.

I can't see what all the fuss is about.

PUL have some great things suitable for guys.

I have a couple of each jackets RA08, RA04 and SU36 all in black made with the shiny side in and are perfect for wearing out and about. There only has to be a hint of cloud in the sky and I'll wear one. No one takes any notice and I often get compliments.
