Wearing Rainwear In Saunas
Wearing Rainwear In Saunas
Wearing rainwear in saunas has been a passion of mine for many years. Got the idea when in a sauna, and someone was wearing ordinary cloths to sweat more. I though, why not go naked under rainwear? When I tried it, what a buzz, hot and sweaty. Couldn't wait to try it again. Tried it in varying raingear including nylon, vinyl,PVC, plasic and similar. Even tried multi layers. Anyone else tried this? How did it feel? Any burning sensations?

I will one day again!

Re: Wearing Rainwear In Saunas
if you really want that, you should come to Finland to our meetings of Rainwear Friends. Yes, we will go to sauna sometimes with rainwear on, also naked, sometimes mixed sauna, sometimes with plastic pants on, everything goes.candyandy wrote:I will one day again!
This spring we cannot accept any more people, but next autumn we will have a bigger venue and we expect 20 to 25 people to come. Keep that in mind.
Keeping impermeable gear on in an elevated temperature is always a certain health risk. I wouldn't do that in ordinary sauna temps, which is 80 to 90 C, but rather in 60 to 70 C. The plastic gets very soft in those temps and there's a risk that some of the plastizicers will trickle from the material to the sweaty skin with open pores. The plastic becomes brittle after being exposed to high temps many times. I know it from experience...

Sounds like fun, but unfortunately live on the other side of the world.
