disappointingly the place with the 20% discount charge the earth for postage so it is actually no better deal to buy from them. one of my pet hates, being ripped off on postage charges. They want 7 quid to send one of the jackets, its under 4 elsewhere so the discount is worn away and some.

I totally agree with you on the postage thing merv, I've just ordered a short jacket in xxl from the same seller and had to fork out the £6.95 p+p and I'll bet it doesn't get sent special delivery or even recorded, I've also just bought a pair of clear PVC leggings to go with the jacket on ebay from a seller in China and they only want £3.99 p+p!

And when the changes from Royal Mail take place it might be even cheaper to buy from overseas

Well we've all heard about first and second class stamps but its the other bits that make me worry

Ive been told Airmail is going up 82% which will have a really bad effect on my trading and possibly stop it altogether :(

How can they justify an 80% rise?
No one will use the Royal Mail in the UK!

I am the Managing Director of Inter Equine Limited. I am glad to see the rainwear products are appealing to you all.

I feel I must step in and explain some basic postage information so we are not perceived to be robbing our customers.

The postage of the long rain jacket packaged safely and correctly will cost us approximately £8 Royal Mail Tracked. Many customers order much more than this to justify the postage...we have to subsidise the cost of that and we do so every day. If we charged customers what it actually cost us to send out the parcels I don't think anyone would actually order. We DO NOT make on postage, WE LOSE on postage everyday. You team that with a 20% discount and I feel that we are actually generous to our customers.

What would it cost you to drive to your nearest specialist store to buy a specialist item? Value for money, yes I actually think it is ;)

I actually agree, everything is so expensive nowadays, it is nice to see a company who takes the time to come on here and explain. Good on you. :)

Thanks for the support Wet_UK. We have considered using the cheaper parcel companies that use 'leisure drivers' (self employed people only paid a tiny amount per drop) but after reading how they treat the goods and how often parcels are just thrown over gates or never delivered we decided it was better to pay a couple of pound more for safe delivery and professionalism.

May I ask you Wet_UK (while I am here)...what is the sexual appeal of raincoats and how exactly do they make 'it' better?

*grins*

I makes the mess easier to clean up at the end ;) And with the transparent ones, you get a peak of what you desire with the wonderful feeling of restriction that comes from wearing the macs.
