Cheap Hunter Wellies

Post by LeicesterSlut »

I know this a rainwear forum and I really want a pair of black hunter wellies, nothing fancy just the standard wellies.

Does anybody where to get them cheap in the uk?

I have not located any mail order web sites for discount Hunters either in the UK or in the states. I have found some web sites in the United States that have boots that are in the Hunter wellie style at lower prices. Granted, some of them are PVC and not rubber, but these are tall wellies nevertheless. See the following links:

This one seems to be fairly popular on the internet sites for tall PVC wellies:

Another one to check out is this one found here:

I found this one earlier this year and think it may be a good alternative to the short wellie. I am not sure I like the bright laces but like the fact it is a short boot with laces and I do not see to many of them:

I was surprised to see that Tretorn has the Skerry boots actually WITHOUT the white sole I found earlier. BillP suggested the Tretorn Skerry but my initial reservations about buying it was my dislike of the white sole. Now, they have the model called "phantom black" with a black sole with black rubber upper. There is a lighter colored band, but that is fine with me.

I have not seen any of these four in person, so if someone has, please let us know how they look in person for the person needing wellies without spending a lot.

In the ladies wellies and sizing category, there is a newcomer that has been introduced that is very attractive and a good alternative to Hunters. This link is for the short shiny solid black one. They have tall wellies too in green and dark blue but not black. The short one is in shiny black and a not-so-good looking plaid. Check out the shiny black version here:

Please let the group know of any others I have left out for consideration.

I must have missed a character of the link for the Tretorn Skerry boots in phantom black color.

Here is another attempt at the link:

Yeah tk max can be really good for rainwear, I got some awsome pvc raincoats for my other half and a pvc backed nylon rainsuit for me . Also a spare pair of hunters for the other half ( for getting messy in so she don't ruin her gloss black pr ) and all at really good prices .

There's this site in the UK: http://www.totallywellies.co.uk/Index.asp, I would say they are at the cheaper end of the price range you would expect to pay for Hunters, personally I don't think these Chinese produced boots are anything like the same quality of the original Scottish made ones, I had a new pair of the Chinese boots in red and in next to no time the colour had faded right out of them, you're only paying for the name these days, you'd do better looking for a second hand pair of originals on ebay.
