Just thought of another one," Car trouble". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHHMZ65jbxY . There is one scene near the start of the film, after about 36 minutes in there are a lot of rainwear scenes. Stars Julie Walters when she was still a good looker. This version on YT is in Spanish

Nice find Beth. I have a similar cape but a different pattern. It's too stiff and crinkly for my liking; perhaps I should find a good home for it.

For those who like seeing people in shiny raingear whatever the gender or age of the wearer, the film The Day of the Triffids (1962), which is available on YouTube, has a sequence from about 58 min to 1h 2min into the film in which an elderly man in a long shiny black PVC (or possibly rubber) raincoat and wellington boots sets out, having already been seen in his full raingear indoors, with a naval man in a peaked cap and they encounter the Triffids in the open. At that point the older man can't go on as his ankle is sprained so the other man lifts him up and carries him over his shoulder which gives an even better view of the shiny black raincoat and wellies. Unfortunately, shortly after, the older man mysteriously dies so is out of the action after that. For me the sequence takes me back nostalgically to my younger days when it was quite usual to see people of both sexes and all ages out in their shiny black raingear, without attracting any attention as it was such a common sight. A shame it's not like that now!

I remeber watching that fil as a child and wanted to see more of the rainwear.
