Upon discovery (through experimental picture-taking in my late teens) they asked what gave me the idea for to get the PVC and that I should throw it all out. But years later I buy buy buy every little bit that comes out in the local shops, but have to hide the ever growing collection. I could just move out I hear you cry but the other flipside is they believe I'm Autistic after supposed "tests" in Cambridge, and they refuse to help, or encourage me to move out. I'm the last of my three brothers to move out. In April 2001, my lovely gloss PVC mistress dress from Skin Two arrived but they signed for it and kept it, didn't tell me it arrived and when I cottoned on, they said they chucked it out! It cost me £80!!!! So, back to my ever growing collection, I had a fine collection of the best raincoats from Primark amongst other things and it made me happier than anything else in the world to wear it and that. But the fear of discovery and the resulting persecution after aformentioned events led me to give it away to an adult venue, which I knew I would not enjoy but I felt the discovery and persecution would be worse. I have counselling now as it has affected me to the point that it gets me quite down when I see another picture of the raincoats from Primark particularly amongst other things. I still have the other half hidden but it's difficult to enjoy it when they are downstairs or sure to arrive back home anytime upon departure. But I would like to know has any of you lot out there had similar experiences that you have dealt or are dealing with???

Cheers for reading.

Chris.
Hi Chris I am a 26 year old male living with my parents. I don't have much of a collection of pvc I just have one mac and a pair of pvc trousers which i bought from pvc rainwear. I have had a fetish for pvc for 10 years and haven't told my parents about it or been found out. I don't want to tell them of my fetish as like you I may be persecuted by them. I enjoy wearing my mac and trousers and my mum and dad say nothing when i wear them and they like my mac and trousers.

Hi Chris,

After reading your replies in this thread I can only suggest you try to move out of your parents home as it sounds that they totally won't listen or try to understand you. I have had the luck that I moved out when I was 18 (went to the university in different city). Even though I always lived with other people in the same house they give you a lot more privacy then your parents so it was possible to build a collection for me.

ps, I find this thread very interesting a would like to thank all contributors.

Hi Chris,

I am glad that I am of help to you. I think that it is unlikely that your parents behaviour may change but I would just carry on with your fetish as you are. I feel that our fetish is uncurable and no matter what others say about your fetish it is unlikely to change how you feel about it!

I wear my mac whilst outside and it's ranining and have had the odd few 'funny' looks from people. I have worn it to work several times and most of my workmates just laughed at me and said my mac was kinky or that I looked like a hiker but I didn't let it bother me. A few of the girls at worked liked my mac and one of the guys liked it too. Just wear it with pride. After all I wear my mac when it's raining so I don't know why my workmates and others find it funny when i wear my mac when it's raining? I just laugh at them and think well your getting wet whilst I'm nice and dry! What's so strange about wearing a mac when it's raining?!?

Regards

Ben

Hi Furness (and others of course ;) )
I'm in the same situation like you .
I am married and my wife does not like PVC rainwear, not at home and not outside only in holidays ,when it is not possible to hide for the rain, because is she knows it will goiing to rain she will not go outside.
Formely every year , before we went on holiday to the same place in Germany (Oberstdorf ,for the German folks here ,they know that place ) , I asked if I should buy a raincape for her .but she does not want it and becomes a little angry about my question.
I dont know if she knows I have this fetish ,I think she does , but we never talk about it. The last years it is '' permitted '' to go out in the rain for my morning walk or do necessary shopping .
I have taken precautions to stay dry ,(Cape ,boots ) and now she is not angry anymore when I come home .
If I want a new cape or coat ,I have a imagenery ''friend'' who wants that I buy a cape for him. And then I swap the new cape with the old one. These must have about the same clor of course.
In 6 weeks we go to Germany again and I should like to buy a yellow cape at eBay. I have told my wife I wanted a yellow cape because of better visibility for rescue people to find me....
But my wife says I have already a cape ,and I don't need to buy more capes. And we are not goiing out with bad weather...
So I go to Oberstdorf with my blue cape ....
You understand me ? :(
Greetings ,Peter

djphobos, I respect your decision, but why do you think you have no choice but accept your parents behaviour, and why do your parents have a choice to accept yours? If you want a change, you need to take responsibility for your life (and life-style). That is quite a task, but very rewarding as well.

djphobos, you have it tough and there looks to be only two ways out, either you get them to accept your right to a private life or you leave. When we are kids then I think it is right for our parents to be watching over us and having the right to enter bedrooms but at some point, usually at a certain age or maturity, the bedroom has to become a sanctuary and providing nothing illegal is going on in there then parents should respect privacy. I hope you get some comfort from the forum to sustain you.

I have had an attraction/fetish to rainwear in general for nearly sixty...yes sixty years and how many people know about macs and me

Only those on sites like Rainwear Central and we can feel we can chat about Rainwear...the thrill we get talking about it...wearing it...and if lucky enough too meet someone in person

My attraction to macs started in the early 1950s..I was five or six...this was the time when few people...be it adults or children didn"t have a mac of some description

It was my sister"s macs that I was attracted too...her plastic macs...even her school gaberdine raincoat

I loved too try it on....button it to the neck...tighten the belt and pull up the hood....did I wonder what attracted me to her macs...loving too wear them in preference to my own...now nearly sixty years on I still don"t know what the attraction was

I suppose in one respect I was luckier than many as when my sister left school in the late 1950s she wouyd buy fashiionable macs of that era...being plastic...PVC...and Trenchcoats...needless too say I would wear her macs when I was on my own in the house and I was hooked on these styles/types of macs with an added bonus discovering nylon macs when I went to our local C&A (now sadly just a memory) in the mid 1960s

Getting married in 1974 I told my wife of my love of macs which I considered a harmless interest but sadly like many wives/partners she just didnot understand or accept it thus my mac wearing was restricted to going out in my man"s macs and only wearing my ladies macs when she was out

We split up in 1999...not due to my mac wearing...I got little chance too enjoy in 25 years we were together...just that the sparkle went out of our relationship

So had the attraction gone......It never had the appeal it had in the 1970s but then I bought a ladies nylon mac out of a mail order catalogue

In actual fact I still have it and still wear it

I tried the nylon mac on...I just couldnot take it off...I even sat naked in it...it felt so good and that is when I realised the attraction was still with me

Now with ebay I find I am spoilt for choice but set myself a budget

My last purchase was a ladies nylon Trenchcoat...£1.99

I have it on as I am typing this message

If I chat with any mac enthusiasts I have found there are so many out there who have wives/partners and this does hold them back from enjoying this harmless interest

I have met several other mac enthusiasts...when they know I am on my own they ask me in a discreet way where I live and if it is not too far away from me if they can visit me

I can safely say it is great too see them sitting in a mac...feeling free if only for a few hours and what a joy too swap macs with each other

One mac enthusiast I met...he was a crossdresser and we got a bit involved but that is another story

Our "fetish" will never be accepted by anyone other than those who appreciate the wearing of macs...no wonder we keep it as our little secret

Wish i could see you typing.. 8-)
Have my own nylon coat , plus the wife has one but doesn't know I have worn it when she is out & cammed to people with it on
£1.99 a great price - Ebay?
Bought a long plastic mac the other day from a £1 shop. Feels cheap but smells nice & feels so good when worn naked :D

Indeed there are bargains to be had in the way of macs

Like hotwilly I got a nylon mac from ebay...with a C&A label...trenchcoat style...for £1.99...the postage cost more than the mac

Oh too sit naked in a nylon mac.....I do it a lot...it is the undescribable feel....I have to admit I have even been to bed in one of mine

I dare say a small collection of nylon macs compared with other nylon mac enthusiasts but with my latest count of eight...all ladies mac...it is decision time...which one should I wear today

As regards plastic macs...yes there are bargains to be had...just keep looking on ebay everyday....the bargains come up day by day

Never realised Poundshops were such an oasis of Plastic Pleasure
Why don't you buy yourself a mans Nylon mac - mine is Cotton Traders, but suspect Target Dry do them.
Bright sunshine today - no mac.............
