Oh Rothbhoy, what a wonderful set of pictures. They certainly took me back to my childhood in the 1950's. Such lovely see-through plastic macs. I had seen the picture of the two ladies in their macs at the Whitsuntide marches before but I hadn't seen the others. I loved the photo of the young lad being protected from the rain by the lady in the plastic mac; I wish that had happened to me.
Tiefdruckgebeit, the plastic macs and capes in your 2 photos are brilliant. It's a shame that we don't see them any more.

I also think these photos are beautiful.
I love the charm of these raincoats.
I also like their glamorous side.
I would so much like people to dress in these outfits again.
I find these raincoats very pretty on women but also on men.
I'm a man and I like to walk in the rain with pvc rainwear.
For me, it's a moment of pure pleasure.

Very true - it's something you notice often when you see photographs from the 1950s and 1960s. I think we all know why....

Loving your posted pictures of the 11950’s era where pvc raincoats and rainbonnets were very popular.
