Field & Trek
They were the technical outdoor shops across the country,
Similar to cotswold outdoors, the Gundel family that owned them jumped the gun to go online and closed stores a little too early and the market wasn’t there so they got in to difficultly and ended up selling the brand to mike ashley who asset stripped it and turned from a leading technical outdoor highs street brand to selling utter crap , he bought karrimor the years before and used F&T to shop front it as a budget brand, its now pretty much just a small shop in shop in JD sports shops.

I remember visiting the F & T Brentwood shop, and purchasing the orange greenland cagoule, which I am still the proud owner of. Its not waterproof anymore, but still gives me a tingle slipping it on occasionally.

I also remember visiting the F&T store in Brentwood many years ago, I purchased one of their cagoules. which I still have. A few years later, I got one of the cagoules from a store in Edinburgh, it closed a few years ago,

As the title suggests is anyone interested in more modern/technical rainwear? I’m talking about nylon rain jackets from the likes of north face, regatta, helly hansen etc.
I’d love to talk to people who share similar interests
It seems most members in here are into pvc (not that there’s anything wrong with that

)
I like the style of raincoat you have mentioned and love wearing a nylon raincoat, would love to chat so PM me a message
