Once stayed in a self catering house on holiday when a child, that had plastic under sheets. All the children shared one big room, but we did have separate beds, so I spent most nights (I think it was about the third day I discovered the sheet) having to peel back the top sheet and get naked on the cool vinyl without making a sound, but also had to make sure I didn’t fall asleep and get discovered in the morning. I tried really hard to sleep properly on the cotton sheet with pyjamas, but once I knew I’d was hopeless! Needless to say I was more tired (but happy) after the holiday.

This is actually how I first got into all of this. I found a green rubber sheet in a drawer under my brothers bed as a child and asked what it was. I was told it’s a waterproof sheet and was told Not to touch it because it’s there in case your brother had an accident. Well the touch and smell of this rubber sheet has me hooked from that day and it’s safe to say it found it’s way from my brothers bed to mine and I would regularly take it to bed as a child not understanding why I liked it and put it back in the morning and well i guess it all started from that!

In a pinch, you could use shower curtains as a mattress cover. Most of the "cheaper ones" are quite noisy

Love shower curtains. Good for getting wrapped up in nice and tightly .and no way out unless helped mmm
