Do you still have the 4 plastic macs you bought in 1975? Somehow, I doubt it, but....
No, I don't have them. The black and pink ones I bough were of very poor quality; a bit "papery". The blue and white ones were better quality but only slightly see-through. Most of the macs I still have were bough between 1977 and 1982 when see-through plastic macs were readily available on the high street.

Speaking of Ebay insanity, years ago I saw a Hermes concertina rain bonnet also sell for 180 quid. It was an orange colour, exactly the same as the heavy duty bags they line garbage bins with, but the garbage bags are probably thicker. Which meant the Hermes badges on the rivets holding the hood together (which were a quarter of an inch wide maximum) were worth 179.

Yeah, that set that Beth saw on Ebay for £180 - totally crazy!
I would have payed it if I have had the money at the time, it was in the USA probably cost alot cause of shipping fees.
Ah yes - shipping fees - sometimes more than the item you are actually buying!
