I can see the appeal of plastic shower curtains - a legal lump of delicious smooth PVC just hanging there saying “look at me aren’t I lovely, dare you to have a feel”.

Apart from the obvious use of the curtain (and I have removed them and used them as bed sheets for fun like others), my mind wanders to who choose a plastic curtain and whether it was for purely practical means. Coming across PVC shower curtains in hotels (at least in the UK) is extremely rare nowadays, and hardly sold anywhere in shops. Many years ago IKEA sold an opaque black plastic plastic shower curtain which was very sexy, but never got a chance to buy one.

US films that involve shower scenes invariably feature see-through plastic curtains, delightful when the occupant is a naked girl who happens to touch the material. Alas, all too often this is a precursor to lots of blood and frantic death throes which are not at all nice!
