Transparent clear plastic rainmacks
Re: Transparent clear plastic rainmacks
indeed Ray, it was bordering on the unwearable, even the drawstrings for pulling the hood and waist tight was a strange substance that barely moved and was not really fir for purpose. Not something that CK should be proud of designing
Re: Transparent clear plastic rainmacks
on another related matter about a year or so ago somebody in Australia seemed to think that Adidas did some see-thru rain jackets. We never did get any photographic evidence or anybody else seeing them. Any ideas on whether they existed or anything on them at all?

I did wonder if they had made them as a promotional item and not for general use but there seems to be a lot of them about if this was the casemerv wrote:indeed Ray, it was bordering on the unwearable, even the drawstrings for pulling the hood and waist tight was a strange substance that barely moved and was not really fir for purpose. I also remember having an Orange one which was softer but sadly too small
I have one from DKNY somewhere that is so stiff its impossible to wear, its almost impossible to even fold

Ray: I think that branded products establish some type of credibility in the mind's eye of the wearer and potentially observers. Look at what Nike does!(hate that stupid swoosh) Too bad they have not ventured into the world of PVC wear like Hilfiger, Adidas, CK, and a few others. Maybe this is just "justification" though, who knows, who cares!
Re: Transparent clear plastic rainmacks
you would disapprove of me then kulshan. I do like the brands and have many nike items of clothing with that swoosh. That probably is why I happily wear the no fear jacket out alot now that the rains seem to have appeared with a vengeance in the East of England. My love of brands is always getting grief at work from those who think that primark is the height of fashion.

Hey, I live in phil knight country so I give credit where credit is due and the Nike boys definately know how to market. Pretty well wrapped up the college athletic market stateside. So to get clear rainwear to be the "in" thing again, we need to get even more brands to embrace the concept of transparent rain jackets, poncho's, etc. Interestingly Nike is the only athletic supplier that has not to my knowledge made a clear pvc type product at some point. Reebok made some rain jackets, CK, can-am, ktm, adidas (apparently) and others. One company, Pro Player made PVC raiin parkas for every hockey and football team out there about 10 years ago. They sold like hotcakes, too and still see them at some football games. Have a couple myself

I will also buy several long PVC rainwear, both men and women, in different colors and I expect when using them outdoors, even where people can see me.
