A message to all of you guys spouting the virtues of Temu.
1) Temu is owned and sponsored by the China government and subsidised to compete and eradicate all western manufacturers to the point that "we" all rely on buying goods from China. Just look at what is happening on the high street, I have just read that New Look is going to be "auctioned off", River island is in trouble and long gone are stores like woolworths or debenhams.
2) Goods manufactured in China are not regulated like goods produced in the EU. China producers still use old and cheaper methods of production which includes plasticisers that are banned in Europe. PVC-U-LIKE has to follow the regulations, we have to use methods and materials that are safe to wear, we have to follow the rules set out in the EU "REACH" document.
3) Quite often we hear "is wearing PVC safe" or "what plasticisers do you use" and yet still buyers are still happy to buy cheap and un-regulated goods from China on line stores where you have no idea what chemicals or processes are being used in the manufacturing process.
4) The pants you buy from Temu or aliexpress were no doubt manufactured in a dirty factory using cheap labour where workers have minimum rights and are abused. If you do your research you will see hundreds of finished goods just piled up on a dirty floor waiting for you to put next to your naked body. Let me just add that Aliexpress uses numerous copyright pictures from PVC-U-LIKE to fool you into thinking its our products and Alipexpress make it impossible to challenge copyright infringement.
5) Why not just carry on buying these products and watch UK and EU manufacturers die away, so many fetish companies who produce PVC, Latex and PU clothing are closing because they cannot compete against these cheap and unregulated factories churning shit out of their factories.
In a few years time when all you can do is buy is crap goods from China don't start crying about "I wish PVC-U-LIKE were still around, I loved their soft PVC raincoats and pants but you can buy anything like that anymore"
The writing is on the wall, just read it and be warned, you can make a difference by supporting companies based in the UK and EU and buy into quality rather than supporting China and their bad practices.
We all have choices, but think before you buy.
