Yes you’re right, they do some great macs, but it was that tangible thing of going into a shop and buying off the rail. Pleasurable and satisfying, at least to me.

Firstly Happy New Year to all and big thanks to Rithbuoy Rothbhoy for all your finds over the last year.
Interesting that the Rita Ora vinyl macs, both black and snakeskin are no longer on their website, so January sales have started clearly, and these are superb bargains. Sad that I’m nowhere near a Primark, although the Mac material is not my fave. Perhaps they just haven’t sold in mid-winter, as they are more a spring item, although with the ludicrous amount of rain we’ve been having, I might have thought they may have been an attraction to the daring.
I hope the first person who sees one worn in public will try to get us photographic proof.
On the subject of Weathervain, I also recall visiting the little shop in Kew, a real treat. I also bought a green translucent hooded mac there for my wife (and me!) in quite thick plastic with large buttons and side pockets. The delightful and unique aroma survived for as long as we had it. Ah, memories.
