Agreed merv, I should have saved myself some time and hassle and gone direct to HKM in Germany, I'll bet the shipping would be cheaper too! Here's the link for those who wish to do just that:

Yes because all companies hold a mountain of stock over every item in every size they advertise

Wet, you have got to be having a laugh m8, if something isn't in stock and has to be ordered in don't you think the buyer has the right to know that? it's bordering on deception to advertise something you don't actually have for sale, and as for patience, wouldn't you be a little peeved to find out someone has taken your money only to find out that your item won't be with you within a couple of days as you were led to believe from the information presented to you but instead you're going to have to wait for at least 11 days minimum before said item is even in the country, never mind on it's way to you?

Again, it's just another example of companies getting your money at any cost as the balance sheet is all that matters, how many of these jackets would get sold if buyers knew the facts before they ordered?

This drop shipping method is what has made Amazon what they are, along with numerous other mail order houses. It's routine and keeps stock turns much more efficient than a "stocking' retailer. In any event I got another long raincoat from Germany to the US. The delivery took about 14 days, not too bad at all. The HKM raincoat, like the other one is thick and robust and a little softer than the first one I got. The real question here is, with all the concerns about delivery methods, is where else can you get one of these? The direct buy from HKM is probably the only alternative to the retailer who orders from HKM. Price seems to be about the same either way. So if you want the nice clear raincoat...get one before they are sold out. As to where they are made? Probably China, I'd guess, and made in bulk as a special order. When they are gone, that will be it.

Is the pvc smooth or textured on the inside and outside?

They are smooth inside and outside
The clear plastic has just a hint of bluish cast to it but is basically frosty clear

It's here! lol, after 13 days my short HKM raincoat has arrived, the first thing I noticed was the postage label, £3.25, plus say 75p for recorded delivery makes £4, so come on Vixxy, explain how it's costing you £8 and how you manage to make a loss on it by charging £6.95? The raincoat itself is great, and I can confirm the descriptions already given, it's made from thisk, snooth frosty clear PVC with a non shiny egg shell type finish inside and out, I was glad I went for the XXL size as these are obviously designed for women, the arms are a little short for me, but it's not as if it'll be getting worn outside so that's not a problem! ;)
