Your partner could easily apply nibble holes by picking just a little fabric with thumb and index finger and make a lateral cut with scissors below.
Sometimes it pays off to just buy one more piece of a nice item for such pleasures.

Some plastic pants are used for the fine-tuning of the shedder followed by the transformation of a nice biker jacket and a waistcoat in biker style. The jacket had two buckles on each side which were munched without problem.

What a waste of those plastic pants. I would have loved wearing those until they fell apart!

Well there must be hundreds of new ones taken into service each day and about the same amount being sent to the trash every day. So those ones don' t count that much I guess. We destroy about a dozen each year that have reached the end of life.

Yes, frequently. I love torn plastic gear, especially plastic pants!
