Story warning

I wrote a lovely story today. Got carried away and spent so much time, when I'm clicked the (SUBMIT) button it went back to the login screen and I lost the lot! I was very cross; obviously the site had timed out whilst I was still writing. So my tip is to click (SAVE DRAFT) periodically to make sure you don't lose your work. 😫

My tip is to write stories in a proper text processing program. Open office for example. Never write them in a web browser.

Sorry to hear that Jellyman, loosing all your work sounds frustrating after spending all the time writing it.

Personally though I have to agree with Lord Grey, using a Word Processor and copy/pasting over is a better option.

Unless all you have is a tablet, then finding cut-and-paste won't select the whole thing and having to knit it together in chunks and rapaor the joins!

The story went like this...

Two scientists investigating an alien and protocol requiring them to wear plastic hazmat suits. Woman scientist hates the man scientist. But alien awakes and escapes by forcing scientists to have sex in the suits then slips out. Anyway not a story that will be told in full now!

Argh, I would rather write with a pen on paper than on a tablet / smartphone. No, to write stories I need a proper Workspace. And don't start with writing on a train / bus / subway. That's absolutely not recommendable.
