Bucks Fizz in the 80’s

I was just reviewing some songs from the 80’s and noticed that Cheryl Baker of Bucks Fizz went through a “shiny” period.
She wore a very nice black Mac in one version of “Rules of the game”

And then plenty of other vinyl skirts, jackets and tops during this period if you look through the YouTube videos.
As we all know, the frequency of seeing ladies in these sorts of macs has dwindled.

I remember seeing her on Top of the Pops in the mac...I recorded it so that I could watch it over and over....such a sexy lady and look !!!

I certainly don’t disagree with your assessment. There are two other songs where she wears something shiny, I will check those out. One is in an identical skirt and top while the other looks more like a latex outfit. I guess those were the edgy things to wear back in the mid 80’s....can be pretty edgy today!

I wonder if she wore them as a way of getting herself noticed. or wether she had a bit of a fetish herself. As you say, there do seem to be a few vids of her in shiny outfits, The black pvc shows off her curves nicely. I wonder if she still wears anything shiny now?

Sorry to burst your bubble but bands like this had 'stylists' and were basically clothes horses for what the stylist told them to wear
