PVC v Rubber rainwear.

Thought this topic might engender some interesting debate from members. Let me first declare my personal interest. I am a confirmed & lifelong rubber fetishist in regard to all items of female rubber clothing with a particular passion for ladies rubber mackintoshes, whether shiny polished rubber exterior or rubber-backed materials such as satin, cotton, silk, taffeta, etc. & also pure rubber rainwear. However, I have had sex involving ladies PVC raincoats from time to time & have enjoyed it. So by way of starting the debate I'll make the following highly subjective comparisons:
VISUAL APPEAL: Quite frankly PVC outshines even the glossiest rubber mac or rubber wellies & is absolutely unmissable & unmistakable in a crowd. But the shine of an SBR mac, though not quite as 'in your face" as PVC, is perhaps more subtly tantalising. The sight of a PVC mac moving across the buttocks or breasts of a woman as she walks is indeed erotic, yet for me the buckle & crinkle of a tightly belted rubberised satin mackintosh on a woman still entices me to turn & follow her, as I focus on every movement of her mac as she walks, my hands thrust deeply into my pockets pleasuring my steadily stiffening prick. The other factor at play is knowing that the cause of this deliciously arousing movement is the smoothly sensual rubber interior of the mackintosh, sometimes proven by turn-backs at the wrist or, most erotically of all, the lusciously rubbery lining of the hood exposed when thrown back across the shoulders.
AURAL APPEAL: The sounds of PVC & rubber are both distinctive & both sexual turn-ons, yet different. The creak & squeak of a PVC mac whether being worn or being fucked, or the rustle of panties during masturbation will, without a doubt, both lead to an erection. Rubber is again a little more subtle in its appeal. A heavy rubber mac will slock & crackle with movement, while rubberised materials such as satin are more slishy & rustley but the affect on the observer or wearer is the same---tenting. Another aspect of our fetish for some of us is the use of a PVC or heavy rubber under-sheet on our bed & the sound of either as you move or turn in bed can quickly lead to a desire to strip back the top sheet to allow a more "intimate" relationship with what lies below.
OLFACTORY APPEAL: Here in my view rubber is clearly superior in its appeal. Yes, a plastic mac does have a sensual smell, but bears no comparison to the powerfully erotic aroma of a body-warmed rubber mackintosh worn naked or taken to bed to be fucked. Similarly, the mounting stench of a heating rubber "safety" sheet causes your head to spin with randy longing as you inhale it like a drug until you lose all control & surrender to the siren smell of hot rubber. Not perhaps for all of us is the stink of a perishing rubber mac. For many years I had an apple-green rubberised taffeta raincoat made by MacMac in Dorset. It had a thickly rubbered interior, a superb rustle & a cock-stiffening slish & slither when fucked. Over the years of love-making the interior was liberally smeared & stained with my cum (& occasionally with the spendings of fellow rubber-lovers) Eventually & inevitably, the rubber lining began to deteriorate, first at the collar & then in the armpits. The smell began to fill the large cupboard where I kept my macs---it also drove me wild with perverted lust!! One sniff in that cupboard & I would feel my loins start to tingle. I began to fuck it obsessively, relentlessly. I would bury my face in an armpit gulping in the head-spinning stink of perishing rubber & sweat until the veins on my rigid shaft bulged blue & my knob red with raging rapture finally squirted yet another great smear of spunk into the welcoming, rubbery interior.
Finally, it all became too much & I had to destroy it in a final goodbye orgy of perversion which would not be appropriate to pursue here.
TACTILE APPEAL: Both are lovely to touch. Smoothing a hand over the glistening surface of a mac, whether PVC or shiny rubber, is instantly erotic, as is the feeling of the interior of any mackintosh made moist with passionate kisses. Then of course the ultimate touch experience of a penis, rampant with fetish-crazed lust, as its moist knob slides sensuously against the slithery surface of a mac until driven beyond control it explodes in a boiling, shrieking torrent of pure ecstasy.
TASTE APPEAL: Whether or not either rubber or PVC have a taste is somewhat debatable & comes down to any perceived difference between touch & taste. Certainly many(most?) of us adore kissing, licking & sucking our rainwear, be it macs, wellies, waders, gloves, dildos(?), dummies(?) All of these are part of the fetish we share & which culminate in rapturous release as our spunk pumps in great, gasping gushes into lusciously sexual PVC or rubber. So much so, that many of us if put to the test would prefer a mackintosh to a wife or partner if such choice had to be made.
Well there it is & up for discussion. In the final analysis it comes (cums?) to whatever turns us on . Happy rainwear wanking.

As a confirmed plastic fetishist I also enjoy both PVC an rubber to a lesser degree. To explain, for me plastic is unbacked, often clear material, whereas PVC is a polyurethane or similar coating on another material like cotton, but appreciate that others might have their own definitions.

For me the feel and look of clear plastic on bare skin wins hands down.

Rubber is great for feel and can look very sexy when super shiny. But for me (and I can hear the cries of discontent as I write this) I don’t like the aroma. Not too bad in small doses but too much is a definite turn off. But I appreciate that for many this is the primary appeal. Tight rubber has a greater appeal as it feels like a second skin and you always feel it’s affect, whereas plastic needs to be slightly loose to get the zippy feeling - too tight and you lose that sensation.

In fact I am not keen on very strong plastic smells, especially the cheap stuff from China or “pool toy” vinyl. Again, all things in moderation. I always find it interesting that plastic has many different smells, even similar garments from PUL will be different aromas, but to me rubber is only ever rubber.

PVC attraction is about the look and generally greater availability in public. Seeing a larger girl out in shiny PVC leggings is a super turn on, but hey don’t judge me - nothing compared to if she were wearing clear plastic jeans, with no pants (getting excited at the thought), but that would never happen so PVC will do.

I also enjoy shiny nylon and leather, again to a lesser degree.

Have to agree with all that jane mackintosh says. Even her name get's me going. I love all the materials mentioned and all have their own attraction. For me it also has to be combined with things like wellingtons [another word that gets me going] , rubber gloves and gasmasks. They all have their own appeal

Rubber, rubber, rubber and then PVC, neoprene and PU.
Rubber has everything for me - the look, the sound, the feel, the smell and the touch. But PVC can be arousing, also.

I was perhaps born too late to remember much rubber rainwear being sold, so for me it is PVC, but also thin proofed nylon as well.
