About 2 1/2 years ago I finally found enough confidence to go out in a long pvc mac for the first time and I did find it liberating and a thrill to wear it out in public. Having said that I have no desire to wear any women's clothes or make up, but I can see that it must take some courage to go out dressed as a woman for the first time. It goes to show how times have changed when you think that the crossdressing pioneer Quentin Crisp used to get beaten up regularly because of the way he looked.
