While I'm stuck in the office this week, the Dublin Horse Show starts today.
It is one of the biggest such shows in the world and has been on the go for over a hundred years.
I remember my parents always took myself and my two sisters to watch the Aga Kahn Cup on a Friday. Usually, it rained, even in August! So, we wore our yellow reversible rainmacks and yellow wellies!!! Ummmmmmm
These days, it doesn't seem to rain as much, and there are certainly less people dressed for the weather.
However, I love watching activities around the Show, the outside warm up rings, etc. That's where you see lovely women in jodphurs!!!
And tucked into lovely riding boots.

Agricultural shows are good venues to see wellies and rainwear.
Good places to wear them too.

In the time I've been around horse shows and fair exhibits it never fails you will see "english equestrian horse show rain jackets". These are inexpensive clear pvc slickers usually down to the knee. Dont' want to get that expensive show apparel tarnished so you will see these jackets regularly. Nice cover up!

I second the motion ... If any one deserves one of these old macs, it's Dave: and it will indeed go to someone who will really appreciate ir
