A few days ago we had some nice rains here in New England. A lot of dark green and yellow on the doppler radar which indicates heavy rain. I had made plans with my wife a day or two before to go our and about since I knew she would wear her raincoat. Well, the storm kind of didn't go as fast as expected so we were just having light rain at the time that we were leaving and I gave one last try by telling her that it was raining lightly out and that the heavy rain should be following soon. She looked as if she was ready to leave and I was a little bummed out but I had to grab something real quick, (forgot what it was) and when I was done, I noticed that she had both her and our daughter dressed in their raincoats. My wifes raincoat that she usually uses with me is the H&M red raincoat that was popular a few years back. I also wore my light yellow raincoat. Almost like what a fisherman wears, but the color yellow wasn't as dark or strong as normal. This raincoat is made my Dur-abel. It has a nice soft almost rubbery pvc touch. So anyway, we got in the mall and my wife takes off her raincoat. I also took off mine and she took off our daughters raincoat as well. I was the lucky one to walk around the mall for a couple hours holding them folded over my arm. She put it back on before leaving the mall and went into another store real quick. The rain was coming down pretty heavy at that time and the rain drops looks soooo awesome on her raincoat. We eventually did some grocery shopping for the last stop before going home. She wore her raincoat into the store and then gave it to me to place in the carriage which I had no problem with. She again put it on as we were leaving even though it was only a light mist out. It really made for a great day!!!
I'm now hoping that the forecast for this coming weekend is correct with the remnants of a hurricane passing by us and dropping lots of rain. I know we have things to do on Saturday. Just have to wait and see.

Lucky you. We were supposed to have on & off storms all day Saturday but it only lasted for about two hours or so in the morning. My wife went to the gym & then to the salon to have her nails done so she missed out having some rainy day fun with me & the dog at the park. Just a light shower as we were leaving but that meant wet grass so I was justified in putting on my yellow Hunters & my yellow hooded raincoat with big silver "fireman" style buckles. Good thing too, as by the time we got to the park that light shower turned into a steady downpour with a few rumbles of thunder. A handful of diehards brought umbrellas but no other good rainwear sightings. No wellies to be found either although some people wore Crocs, which in my opinion are a poor substitute.

We're supposed to have severe storms this evening, and again my wife will be unavailable for the fun as she's going to the clinic for a sleep study.
