Question! I've entered PU/PVC in the subject line but I'm not so sure. Anyone any ideas? Whatever it's made of it looks like it would be bloody expensive to buy - understatement!

I would say lacquered leather. I think PVC and or PU would not give the required stiffness.
The advert does scream high end.

i also think very expensive.

To me it also looks like patent leather. And yes, it is most probably an expensive designer item or a one off that was specially made for this ad.

Cheers for getting back on this one Rubbersocks. I was thinking at the time of posting the link that the mac was maybe not PU or PVC and I did think of lacquered leather or patent leather - hence the question I put out to members. I think I'm tending to agree with you on this one. You are right too about it being "high end" - bloody expensive IMO!

Thanks for that ILC. I think you are right and this would now seem to be the consensus of opinion, i.e. that the mac is lacquered or patent leather and not PVC/PU.
