I saw chatter about this on Instagram and then web-searched the political commentary site. It’s absolutely awful commentators either poke fun of or criticize or somehow demean anyone with the good sense and taste and thoughtfulness to wear wellies anywhere when needed, or anywhere for that matter needed or not.

How in the world can goofy members of the press embrace all sorts of gender changes and roles and diversity while at the same time disparage men including politicians choosing wellies. Our media and political commentators already lost it, now they lost it further. This is a devastating blow to men everywhere that pull out wellies when needed or at any time they like. A woman with tall rain boots would never be criticized. Why men? And men in this case?

Sorry all… had to vent and yell about double standards in media and society.

This is a huge step backwards for men and wellies in common life. I’m upset and saddened. We need more wellies everywhere not less.

Florida is borderline redneck territory. Just ignore the childish chatter. Everybody loves to have a go at politicians for the silliest of reasons.

This Trumpist pig also isn't very popular for various reasons either.

Journalists just want the attention such articles bring and hope their editors will promote them. I has to be America for such comments.
Wish they had been rubber wellingtons though !!!

But that is the ironic thing… we get better rainwear rainwear photo ops from them. First Trump family member in shiny black rainwear, now republican governor in wellies, and the commentators criticize the wellies not embrace the look and turn to actual issues to discuss.

I wonder what the reaction would have been with wellies made by Hunter? Or Kamik? And color? Would black or olive color been ignored?

Thanks for posting, I had not thought of that. Safety in terms of anti slip? Or safety in terms of insulation from electrical lines flooded in water? Or both? That is probably why the model and I had not considered that.

With everything that's going on in the world and this is the best you could come up with, wellies?

Can I respectfully suggest (I think you have to say that these days) if you take offense at such things you should stay home, cancel the newspapers and throw away the TV, radio and laptop
