Embellishment Attraction

We all seem to have our favourite rainwear, but often there are little details that add a certain excitement over and above what you might expect. For me it is elasticated cuffs and ankles on jackets and trousers, but also the white stripe down the arm of cagoules. What detail on your rainwear adds to the overall loveliness of it?

Drawstrings. It means I can make a cagoule hug my body as tightly as possible and the hood caress my face snugly.

Press stud fastenings, or "poppers" as my mum used to call them.

Elastic cuffs, hoods and shiny coatings inside

I like - when it comes to a classic Rukka-style raincoat - details like the poppers at the sleeve ends like the Farmerrain retro raincoat features:

And I like more thinner (cotton) drawstrings of the hood with plastic ends (not the modern cord stops) just like the old Rukka coats have. That's why I replaced all the strings of my retro raincoats from Farmerrain to get the real "retro" look. e.g. on my "true blue" retro:

I love the bright white zip on a Peter storm overhead cagoule and the white cords done in a perfect bow along with the side hip cords done tight

Like the way you're thinking.

This is a tough one to answer as I like lots of elements of a cagoule - the rustling, the feel against your skin, the elastic by the wrists. Probably the hood most of all to be honest and the sight of a woman wearing a cagoule, hood up and seen from behind will really do it every time.

Cheap thin nylon cagoules with PU coating, non-breathable, noisy, storm cuffs with tight elastic, toggles on hood and waist, neck gusset behind quarter zip, large kangaroo pocket to store rope/leather thongs/small whips/gags. Smell of inner sweat, nerdy looks...i think thats all ;-)
