there is software available as an "add on" for mozilla firefox browser, which can be searched for, in mozilla addons under tools option, search for youtube video downloaders, how good they are & do they work, do research first, they can download the video for offline viewing. I am also not clear on any copyright issues or legal matters, again do research to check this out.

Very good description !
I have the youtube downloader, it is a very good tool
and works also on many other sides.
But for the video mentioned by Cagoulelover, it does not work,
because of age-restriction.
Then I followed your description and added another tool
to Firefox with the same result-no download !
Maybe other users got an idea ?
I would be interested.

This is the software I use HD Video Converter Factory PRO, it is a bought piece of software & is not 100% guaranteed to download everything, it apparently does other sites too, they do offer a trial version though, might be worth a look.

I have a GMAIL account and YouTube let me login with it. When I go to watch age restricted videos it doesn’t stop me it just asks me to click to confirm that I was ok to see the content. I didn’t need to give credit card details to either GMAIL or YouTube but I did have to give a mobile number for verification of the original GMAIL setup.

Thanks for the info Spitfire617 - worked for me. I already had the mail account I just didn’t know it was a ticket to YouTube.

yes it downloaded fine using this software. As I previously mentioned it works a majority of the time, some youtube videos just will not download even with gmail account
