There were loads of shiny white PVC macs similar to the one Elfi wears on sale at places like Debenhams in the 1980s - black ones too.

I was looking for another episode with Elfi Eschke wearing the mac and came across another actress (Iris Berben) wearing a similar type of mac - hers in dark bronze!

A raincoat protects you, so don't mind the colour.
