Brown Mold/Mould Spots on Rubber/Cotton Raincoat

Hi,
Does anybody know how to get rid of Brown Spots on a white Rubber/Cotton Raincoat?
I have a beautiful one from "Weather Or Not" that has been hanging in a dark cupboard, unworn for about 20 years. I looked at it a year or so ago and saw a few spots. I did not worry! I looked again recently and they are spreading. Some of them show through on both sides. I think it must be mould or possibly oxidation. The rubber looks perfect in every other respect. There is no mouldy smell and the cupboard is dry.
I would like to get rid of them, or at least stop them from spreading further. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Max
