I hadn’t given this and past attention but realized this week the song “Penny Lane” had the line about it strange the individual doesn’t wear a mac in the pouring rain.

Also the video for Madness, Sun and the Rain has them all wearing grey pacamacs.

The song tell you to put on your rubber boots on and to put your Mackintosh on. Also you should wear rubber.

How come I never heard this song before?
I used to have a crush on her when I was younger in the 90s because I was in my middle childhood and early teens when she was on TV. Was as more like puppy love. At that time I was developing my fetish for wellies.

In Paul McCartney's autobiography he talks about the time they were just starting out and had a stint in Germany. They used to hang out with a group of people who sat around smoking weed while wearing oilskin mackintoshes.
