Unfortunately, that clear mac is not made from actual vinyl (PVC; PolyVinylChloride) but an inferior PVC-imitation plastic called EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). Alternatively called PEVA, where the P stands for 'Poly', as in Polymer.
Clothing, including rainwear, made from actual PolyVinylChloride is, frustratingly, a rarity these days. I'm grateful for specialist PVC clothing and rainwear companies such as PVC-U-Like.
