Well macked up this morning.

I had to go out early with the dogs this morning, and it was raining. My wife had told me last night to wrap myself up well this morning, especially if it was raining. It was drizzling when I was ready to go out and my wife still in bed, but I found that she had left things out for me. Wellingtons, Berghaus waterproof trousers, a nylon cagoule and my waterproof coat, a long storm coat made by Jack Murphy. She also left a balaclava hood, which covers my head, chin and mouth, plus wool and waterproof gloves. Ever obedient, I dressed myself up, put the dogs in the car and drove about three miles to the country park where we walk. There was noone about, and I wore my balaclava, my cagoule hood up and tied tightly over it, and my storm coat zipped to the chin and the hood up, and I also fastened the leg straps of this coat round my thighs, which were already protected by my waterproof trousers. I keep the hood of my storm coat fastened with a small carabiner threaded through the two elastic cord loops of the hood, and inside the three hoods and with my face half covered I was toasty warm as well as dry. We walked for an hour and saw not a soul, and I drove home without removing anything. When I arrived home my wife was up and she was most pleased that I had been obedient. I stood while she undressed me from my outdoor clothes and then told me that over Christmas we will be going out together with me dressed the same, and that she will also be well macked and muffled up! Heaven awaits!
