Wore just that (no brolly) when dog walking in the rain last Monday - not in the woods tho'.
Down the side of a stream & thro the streets.
Met a few people walking dogs & not one comment about attire - basically because it was chucking it down with rain!

Hi - when you say 'girlfriend's leggings', do you mean waterproof trousers? I used to have a girlfriend who referred to her waterproof trousers as leggings. I loved that..!

Leggins was common in the midlands for waterproof trousers
Everyone who had a bike or motorbike wore "Leggins"

So the term has returned!!

Isn't it also custom in the East Midlands that you wear them directly over underwear (or nothing) not over other jeans / trousers ?????
