The meaning of SBR

Stupid question but what does SBR actually stand for?

Yup ... its an acronym for shiny black rubber ... SBR!!

Actually, not to be an annoying nerd, but technically SBR stands for a synthetic rubber compound called styrene-butadiene rubber. It was made primarily in black, so it's become interchangeable with the term "shiny black rubber". But I have a yellow Lacrosse-Rainfair raincoat made from SBR.

I always imagined it was shiny black raincoat.
I've seen plastic coats described as SBR.
