Once you go outside in raingear there is no turning back.
Where exactly did you go, was there anyone else out in their rainwear ?

Beaches are great especially in stormy weather as the chances are that others will also be wearing their raingear also.

if it was raining, or even likely to (so that is a certainty at the moment) then why would it seem odd to wear something waterproof, take the plunge (although not actually in the sea wearing it) and it will become the norm to you

This has been wonderful weather for us in UK.........raining everday for the past week !!.
I've taken advantage of this by wearing my macs to work and have been saved from a drenching everytime.Have alternated my long red and black rubberised macs with my black SBR coat and have really enjoyed travelling on the buses and walking in the rain. Have also enjoyed walking the dog each evening fully protected in my mackintoshes and Hunter wellies.

Thats one of the things I like about rainwear. When the weather is like it's been of late, nobody really takes that much notice of what your actually wearing- And of course, it's keeping you dry too!

That is very true indeed
But I think guys should stick to relatively safe colours.
But I think I broke that a couple of days ago when I wore a red mac!

Thanks Matron- Obviously not in one of my partners macs! I've got this dull black waterproof coat which has a thick, warm lining inside. The nice thing is it's waterproof, snug to wear but importantly- it's descrete, it doesn't readily shout 'fetish' when worn out in the general public.
